This DVD is a step-by-step tutorial on the art of Ruskin Lace making in the traditional manner, as established in the English Lake District at the end of the19th century. This is the result of much repeated encouragement from students to have a practical reference for home use.
The Workshop situation will always be the ideal, working along side and in the company of others of like mind, but that is an opportunity not available to so many in various parts of the World. The hope is that this DVD will give that opportunity to those as well.
The DVD illustrates the basic preparation of Fabric, sequence of procedure, basic pattern preparation, pattern components, how the work is held in progress and supports the book ‘Ruskin Lace & Linen Work’ which illustrates many patterns and the making up of articles.
